Joint Baltic-Nordic Acoustics Meeting 2008

Welcome to BNAM 2008

The joint Baltic-Nordic Acoustics Meeting is a biannual international conference, gathering Nordic and Baltic acousticians. Traditionally the BNAM has covered all different areas of acoustics, but focusing each time on areas that are the most actual ones in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

BNAM 2008 will be held in Reykjavik in Iceland in August 17-19 2008. On August 17th (Sunday) the registration opens, and a social programme is planned with a pre-conference tour. The conference itself is planned to take two full days, August 18-19, with a conference dinner on Monday evening. The conference will consist of oral presentations, in one session or at most in two parallell sessions. Three invited key-note speakers are expected, and workshops and poster sessions are also planned.

Like its predecessors, BNAM 2008 is open to all, with no membership or affiliation requirements.

Key Dates

Focus and Topics

The conference will focus mainly on three topics:

1. Building acoustics
2. Room acoustics
3. Noise and noise mapping

Other topics are welcome - presentation propably in poster sessions.

Papers, Presentations and Proceedings

Papers are prsesented orally or in poster sessions. Submission should be one page abstracts (images are allowed). Submissions will be subject to review by an international panel. One of the authors must present the paper at the conference for it to appear in the proceedings. The proceedings will be delivered on USB-thumb drive to all participants of the conference.
